Important Voter Dates and Information

People have already begun voting in the General Election – will you be joining them?

In coordination with Mobilize the Immigrant Vote (MIV), and other statewide partners, SIREN is encouraging you, your family and friends to vote and be a decision-maker on some critical issues affecting immigrant communities in Silicon Valley, our state and nation.

October 20th is the last day to register to vote in this election in California. Registration is easy, just click HERE.

The last day to vote is Nov. 4. Polls are open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Any registered California voter can also vote by mail. Applications for Vote-by-Mail requests are available on the Secretary of State’s website and should be mailed in time to arrive at your county’s elections office by October 28.

As you know SIREN is non-partisan and does not endorse candidates. We are, however, deeply involved in public policy, especially on issues affecting our immigrant communities. So if you’d like to see our recommendations on statewide propositions, our partners at Mobilize the Immigrant Vote Action Fund have put together a voter guide to help. You can see them here in English/Spanish and in English/Vietnamese

Please see below for key dates:

We hope you will participate by voting and being a voice for our community and the millions of immigrant brothers and sisters who don’t have the right to vote yet.
