Becoming an American citizen opens the door to new opportunities - including voting! Start the citizenship process now to vote in the 2016 Presidential Election

Take the next step to become an American citizen:

  • Learn about the requirements and process
  • If eligible, get help completing your naturalization application
  • If eligible, get help requesting a fee waiver
  • Receive ESL and legal referrals, if needed
  • Receive the 100 USCIS citizenship interview questions

 

To be eligible for citizenship you must be:

  • 18 years of age
  • A legal permanent resident for 5 years or 3 years if married to U.S. citizen

 

DON’T FORGET TO BRING:

  • Your green card and social security card
  • List of ALL trips taken outside of the US for the last 5 years
  • Family information, including all children and spouse (current and former)
  • If you have ever been arrested, certificates of disposition for all arrests
  • Your address and job history for the last 5 years

 

TO APPLY FOR A FEE WAIVER:

  • 2015 Income Tax or Proof of Public Benefits (such as food stamps, cash aid, SSI etc.)

*if you do not qualify for the fee waiver, the USCIS fee is $680, payable to “US Department of Homeland Security” via credit card, check or money order
